The Job As a Disability Assessor you will undertake face to face assessments of claimants at home or one of our clinics. This role presents you with the opportunity to take into account all of the customer's information presented and any supporting evidence (eg the claimant's completed questionnaire, and information from GP's or Specialists etc) and then carry out a face to face consultation in a professional manner. You will then use the collected information to create detailed reports which are submitted to a government body. As the assessor you will have the autonomy to make recommendations on the assessment criteria which should be applied. Determining timeframes for each individual assessment process is also a key component of this role. Who we're looking for This is really important... You must have at least two years post-registration experience as an Occupational Therapist (OT), Physiotherapist, Nurse, Paramedic or Doctor with a licence to practice and must be registered with the NMC/HCPC/GMC with a valid PIN. You must have the ability to work autonomously across a geographical area and hold a full UK Driving Licence. A great team worker, an individual happy working as part of a team or on your own initiative. A person with excellent report writing skills to enable you to provide DWP with a robust assessment report. A productive individual, a worker with appropriate questioning skills along with the ability to capture informal and formal observations. An individual with basic IT experience.
