An opportunity has arisen for a positive and proactive Senior Finance Business Partner (Housing Operations) to join us. Using your exceptional skills and expertise, you will develop and provide insight as to the business status, performance and strategic direction, driving value for money (VfM) across the business.


Ensuring a provision of a comprehensive accounting, monitoring and reporting

service to the Operations Directorate you will also support other Finance Business

Partners and Management Accounts team in the provision of wider accounting

and associated services. Further to this you will provide proactive and expert financial business advisory service to the functions within the Operations Directorate.


Effective communication and liaison skills are required to have the ability to partner with the Executive Director of Operations and Heads of Service within the Directorate. You will communicate financial and non-financial targets and results, providing analysis, developing metrics and KPI’s.


Success in this role will be achieved by applying your analytical skills beyond the traditional finance function and bringing them to bear on a range of business issues. The ability to listen, interpret, influence, negotiate, inspire and challenge are all vital to the role.


With a professional qualification in accounting (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA), you will possess post-qualification financial experience, with strong knowledge of management accounting theory, in particular business strategy and project controlling.


You will need strong financial modelling techniques and analytical skills with advanced PC skills (MS Excel and PowerPoint) and the ability to adapt to new systems and applications quickly. This challenging role would suit a highly organised individual who can thrive in a fast moving and ever changing environment without compromising on quality. Knowledge and experience of the Affordable housing sector would be advantageous.
